H. pylori antibiotic resistant strains are worryingly emerging worldwide. This has led to an increased treatment failure ratio among infected individuals. To provide patients with targeted therapies and to avoid inadequate and unnecessary antibiotic treatments, our group is developing novel molecular assays and in silico platforms to rapidly detect and predict antibiotic resistance. Thereby, we aim at providing physicians with crucial information for treatment decision in a short time and patients with specific antibiotics to combat the infection in one course of treatment.
