Dr. Fabien Ulrich Prodjinotho is a committed young Postdoctoral researcher with strong and profound knowledge in immunology and parasitology with special skills in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), laboratory investigations and field work.
He originally comes from Benin, where he completed his master's degree in the field of immunology and physiology. With a DAAD scholarship, he moved to Germany and completed his PhD at the University Clinic Bonn, Germany on the suppressive role of antibodies during helminth functions. He joined the group at the Technical University of Munich to unravel different aspects of immune regulations in NTDs and their implications for therapy. He has strong interest in North-South and South-South capacity building and is actively involved in sustainable sub-Saharan Africa Networks for research in immunology. He is co-founder of the Benin Society of Immunology.
