Leonardo Sternkopf is studying medicine in the eighth semester at the Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI). At the Institute for Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene, he is working as a doctoral student together with his supervisor, Dr. rer. nat. Fabien Ulrich Prodjinotho, on apoptosis signaling pathways in neurocysticercosis. Due to his keen interest in Global Health, he is also involved in the clinic partnership Surgery across borders, a partnership between KATH (Kumasi) and MRI.
When not in the institute, he enjoys mountain climbing and playing saxophone in his band.
