Sherif Abdellatif, B. Sc., studied pharmaceutical sciences and pursued a career in industry. He later moved to work in the medical devices and diagnostics department at J&J. Sherif is in his final master‘s year in Molecular Biology and currently writing his thesis within the AG da Costa. His thesis will support parts of the project, which aims to develop a portable and innovative ultra-short PCR-based diagnostic that can be used in the field to detect Schistosomiasis, especially in areas with low endemicity.
